What is Anime Shop?
Anime Shop is an Amazon affiliate site. We provide a simple and convenient interface to purchase from Amazon's stocks of Japanese animation DVDs, manga and other related items.
What is an affiliate site?
An affiliate site receives a small percentage of any Amazon purchase made through their site. The price you pay is the same as any other Amazon customer.
How does it work?
Anime Shop is a collection of scripts which query the Amazon servers via a SOAP interface (based on the NuSOAP library). Results are locally cached in a MySQL database for up to 24 hours, to improve query performance and reduce load on the Amazon servers.
Do you store my credit card details?
Anime Shop does NOT store any credit card or other financial details. Transactions are handled by Amazon's ecommerce system.
What do you do that Amazon doesn't?
The Anime Shop interface is simpler and easier to use than the Amazon main site, which can be cluttered and confusing at times.

- Any product category on the site can be monitored for new releases via an RSS newsfeed facility. Notifications can be sent via email using RSSFwd.

What is an RSS newsfeed?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. RSS is simple way of making website updates available to visitors, so that they know that new news items or products have appeared on the websites they're interested in. Software called 'RSS aggregators' or 'news aggregators' make it very easy for users to subscribe to updates from multiple websites, and check on them automatically.
You can access RSS newsfeeds using the built-in RSS readers in web-browsers like Opera and Mozilla Firefox, standalone Windows programs like RSSOwl, and web services like Bloglines, which allow you to check your newsfeeds from any web-connected computer.You can also subscribe to newsfeeds via email using a separate service like RSSFwd.
Can I use your software to set up my own Amazon shop?
